Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi's Consumer Confidence Index in the economic performance logged about 126 points in 2015, according to a statement issued on Saturday by the Studies Division of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (DED).
“The optimism level among consumers in the emirate during 2015 are still acceptable, despite the relative decline compared to 2014,” the DED’s Acting Undersecretary, Khalifa bin Salem Al Mansouri, said.
The statement didn’t mention comparative figures for the consumer confidence index in 2014.
Al Mansouri suggested that the consumer’s morale and optimism were negatively affected by some local and international factors including the higher inflation rate in the emirate in 2015.
