Abu Dhabi's GDP at constant prices records AED 620bn in 9M

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi's gross domestic product (GDP) at constant prices grew by 4.6% to around AED 620 billion during the first nine months of 2019, compared to nearly AED 592.9 billion in the same period of 2018, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The combined data of the Statistics Centre − Abu Dhabi (SCAD) showed that a rise in Abu Dhabi's GDP is attributed to a growth in all economic sectors.

On a quarterly basis, the emirate's GDP at constant prices reached AED 207.2 billion in the first quarter of 2019, up 5.7% from AED 196 billion during the year-ago period.

Moreover, the growth in economic activities led to a 5.2% increase in Abu Dhabi's GDP in Q2-19 to AED 207.7 billion from AED 197.4 billion in Q2-18.

In the third quarter, the GDP grew by 2.7% to AED 205 billion, versus AED 199.5 billion in the corresponding period of 2018.
