Abu Dhabi’s exports, imports rise in Q3 - SCAD

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Statistics Centre Abu Dhabi (SCAD) has expected the UAE to witness growth and prosperity in commodities and services trade over the coming period.

Export and import activities in Abu Dhabi are an essential factor in the city’s economic development, the SCAD stressed.

The import unit value index surged 7.5% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2017, while it increased 8.1% quarter-on-quarter to 111.8% from 103.4% in Q3-16, according to the SCAD.

On the other hand, the export unit value index rose 1.7% year-on-year in Q3-17 to 79.8% in Q3-17 from 78.4% in the year-ago period.
