Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Inflation in Abu Dhabi grew 4.5% during the first two months of 2018, compared to the year-ago period, according to a report released by Statistics Centre of Abu Dhabi (SCAD) on Monday.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) of the emirate registered 112.6% in the two-month period versus 107.7% in the comparative period of 2017.
In January, the CPI rose 4.3% year-on-year, but in February, the CPI shed 0.3% year-on-year, SCAD revealed.
The prices of the transportation segment soared 12.5%, while the prices of the beverages and food segment went up 6.3%.
Also, the miscellaneous goods and services’ prices levelled up 9.8%.
