Abu Dhabi’s inflation up 3% in 4M

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi’s inflation rose by 3% in the first four months of 2016, according to the Statistics Centre Abu Dhabi (Scad).

The consumer price index (CPI) reached 105.6 points in the same four-month period.

Inflation increased by 2.4% year-on-year (y-o-y) in April 2016, but registered a decline of 0.1% compared to March 2016.

Abu Dhabi region contributed 77% of the overall rise in consumer prices, while Al Ain and the Western Region accounted for 19.6% and 3.4%, respectively.
