UAE - Mubasher: Abu Dhabi's non-oil trade increased by 10% year-on-year (YoY) to around AED 17.85 billion in March 2020, compared to AED 16.23 billion in the same month of 2019.
The non-oil exports amounted to AED 5.51 billion in March, up 14.4% from AED 4.81 billion in the corresponding period of 2019.
Meanwhile, the imports jumped by 27.6% to around AED 9.04 billion in March from AED 7.09 billion in the year-ago period.
The re-exports declined by 23.7% to AED 3.29 billion in March, compared to AED 4.32 billion in the same month of the earlier year.
Saudi Arabia topped the list of exporters, importers, and re-exporters with AED 2.05 billion, AED 1.39 billion, and AED 1.14 billion, respectively.
On a monthly basis, Abu Dhabi's non-oil foreign trade went up by 0.33% to around AED 17.85 billion in March, versus AED 17.79 billion in the earlier month.
During the first three months of 2020, the trade climbed by 5.6% to AED 54.93 billion, compared to AED 52.01 billion in the corresponding period of 2019.
It is noteworthy to mention that in January, the non-oil foreign trade of Abu Dhabi went up by 0.5% to around AED 19.3 billion from AED 19.2 billion during the same month of 2019.
