Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi’s non-petroleum trade stood at AED 133.5 billion in the first 10 months of 2017 from AED 141.3 billion in the prior-year period, according to Statistics Centre Abu Dhabi (SCAD).
The emirate’s non-petroleum exports amounted to AED 18.8 billion in the January-October period of 2017, while re-exports reached AED 17.8 billion and imports hit AED 97.23 billion, statistics showed.
On the monthly basis, non-petroleum trade totalled AED 14.33 billion in October 2017, compared to AED 14.77 billion in October 2016.
Imports totalled AED 9.32 billion in October 2017, while re-exports and exports amounted to AED 2.13 billion and AED 2.86 billion, respectively.
The US topped Abu Dhabi’s imports at a value of AED 14.3 billion in the 10-month period of 2017, while Saudi Arabia ranked second at a value of AED 9.5 billion, followed by Japan and South Korea with imports valued at AED 8.3 billion and AED 5.8 billion, respectively.
