Abu Dhabi shares snap three-day bear run

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) moved to the positive territory on Wednesday, reversing a three-session losing streak, backed by real estate and energy stocks.

The main index rose by 0.29% or 12.25 points to close at 4,230.72 points.

The real estate sector gained 3.31% after Aldar Properties rose by 3.86%. The energy sector was also 3.07% higher backed by Taqa that jumped by 15%.

The banks sector advanced by 0.66%, as NBAD, ADCB and FGB rose by 1.74%, 1.11% and 0.82%, respectively.

The telecom sector was 1.59% behind, due to Etisalat.

Trading activity lost momentum compared to the previous session, as traded volume decreased to 56.67 million shares from 77.88 million shares and turnover fell to AED 171 million from AED 222 million.
