Abu Dhabi stocks lose 14 points at close

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) main index declined 0.32% or 13.6 points on Wednesday, reaching the level of 4,269.94 points.

The investment sector dropped 4%, after Waha Capital fell by the same percentage. Also, banks slipped 1.23%, pushed down by First Gulf Bank which slid 1.9%. Real estate was in red with a 0.04% decrease.

However, telecom and goods sectors rose by 1.8% and 0.56%, respectively.

Trading volume came to 65.22 million shares worth AED 148.73 million, compared to 40.10 million shares exchanged yesterday at AED 68.96 million.

Dana Gas was the most active in terms of volume as 30.9 million shares were traded, and First Gulf Bank, which gained AED 17.09 million, recorded the day’s largest turnover.

The main index closed yesterday 1.6% higher.
