Abu Dhabi to grant $5bn in housing, land loans

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The government of Abu Dhabi will offer up to AED 18.3 billion ($5 billion) in housing loans and land grants, state news agency Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.

Almost 12,475 Emirati citizens will benefit from these provisions in the UAE’s capital and biggest sheikhdom, according to WAM.

The instructions, made by Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Zayed, will provide 8,662 in housing loans valued at AED 16.2 billion, 953 government houses valued at AED79 million, and 2,213 residential plots valued at AED1.41 billion.

The directives come on the eve of the UAE’s 47th National Day, coinciding with the year of marking the centenary of the birth of the country’s founding father Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
