Abu Dhabi tops world's cities in response to COVID-19

UAE - Mubasher: Abu Dhabi has led the world’s leading cities for their response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, as shown by a recent report by London-based analytics consortium, Deep Knowledge Group (DKG).

Entitled "Ranking of the Safest Cities during the COVID-19 Pandemic for the Second Quarter of 2021", the report has focused on five main categories to assess 72 cities and municipalities, of which 50 cities with the highest ranks were selected.

The categories comprise government efficiency, economic resilience, the efficiency of the quarantine system, healthcare management, and vaccination rates.

In April 2021, the report's first version was released and ranked Abu Dhabi as the safest city in the world during the pandemic.

The emirate's response to the pandemic is driven by the measures taken to ensure the health and safety of the community while maintaining an open and competitive economy.

Abu Dhabi has also contributed to the UAE’s vaccination campaign, with over 88% of the UAE’s population having received a vaccine.
