Cairo – Mubasher: Abu Qir Fertilizers on Monday reported a 14% year-on-year surge in profits for 2017 due to a growth in revenues.
Net profit amounted to EGP 1.24 billion in 2017, compared to EGP 1.09 billion a year earlier, the company said in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
Revenues stood at EGP 3.6 billion last year, up from EGP 2.28 billion the year before.
Given that Abu Qir Fertilizers had generated profits of EGP 467.11 million in the three months ended September 2017, from EGP 240.02 million in the corresponding period of 2016.
