UAE – Mubasher: Acronis, a global software company, announced it will showcase its cyber protection services at the GITEX Technology Week to be held in Dubai from 6 to 10 October 2019.
This is a major step for Acronis to extend its footprint in the Middle East markets after it was awarded the Unicorn status by the American investment bank and financial services company, Goldman Sachs, according to a press release.
Moreover, the company will also launch its latest business-to-business cyber protection products, Acronis Cyber Cloud and Acronis Backup, in the UAE market as part of its GITEX participation.
Islam Shaker, regional account manager at Acronis, said: “Acronis is proud to be showcasing its cyber protection expertise at the 2019 GITEX Technology Week. Our recently acquired Unicorn status firmly puts us in a better position to offer cutting-edge cyber protection solutions to our customers regardless of where they are.”
“Our main focus at GITEX will be to ignite a serious conversation of how businesses operating in the region need to stay protected from the growing threat of ransomware attacks,” he added.
Backed by a $147 million funding round by Goldman Sachs, Acronis plans to expand its operations in the Middle East, Singapore, Bulgaria, and Arizona, as well as establish additional data centers and grow business through strategic acquisitions.
