Riyadh-Mubasher: Advanced Petrochemical Co. said its South Korean joint venture PDH which produces propylene, has started trial production at its plant on Tuesday, according to a bourse statement.
The trial operations will take one to three months to confirm the plant’s reliability and sustainability to operate on a commercial basis, the company added.
The related financial impact is expected after the commencement of commercial operations scheduled for the second quarter of 2016.
In October, the company announced the mechanical completion of its joint venture PDH for the production of Propylene in South Korea, with a designed capacity of 600,000 metric tonnes per annum.
