Agility’s unit wins $70m deal from US Defense Logistics Agency

Mubasher: Agility Public Warehousing on Tuesday has announced that one of its subsidiaries has been awarded a five-year contract at a value of $70 million from the US Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).

Under the deal, the Kuwaiti firm’s unit will transport and distribute products and services for DLA in emergency cases in the Arabian Peninsula and Iraq, according to a statement to Boursa Kuwait.

Agility Public Warehousing last reported an 18.4% rise in net profits during the full-year 2018, logging KWD 81.1 million ($267 million).

In April, the company’s ordinary general meeting (OGM) approved the board of directors’ recommendation to distribute 30% of the capital as cash dividends and bonus shares for 2018.

It is noteworthy that Agility Public Warehousing is listed on Boursa Kuwait and the Dubai Financial Market (DFM).
