Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Agthia Group entered into partnership with the General Trading Company (GTC), a subsidiary of the Olayan Group, to distribute retail flour products across the country, according to the company’s statement.
"Saudi Arabia clearly provides us with a large population and a ready market for our premium flour product,” said Manolis Trigkonis, executive vice president of Agri Business at Agthia.
"We have agreed on the best approach to achieve initial as well as longer term objectives, and we are positive about the success of Grand Mills flour in the Kingdom," said Husam Edghaim, General Manager of GTC.
The group’s flour sales in particular grew 15% to AED 427 million with distribution and customer base expansion in Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates, in addition to growing exports and wheat trading.
