Doha – Mubasher: Ahli Bank said Tuesday it successfully completed a $500 million debut bond issue in global markets with a tenure of five years.
In mid-March, the bank announced establishing in Cayman Islands a wholly owned subsidiary for the purpose of issuing medium-term bonds worth $2 billion maximum under the terms of the program which will be notified in a timely manner.
The lender’s shareholders earlier approved the issuance of medium-term notes worth $2 billion (QAR 7.3 billion) as a maximum.
