Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Customs Authority collected EGP 3.588 billion in customs duties, taxes, and other charges at Port Said and Ain Sokhna ports during April.
The total value of taxes and customs duties collected for imported goods at Port Said and Ain Sokhna reached EGP 630.51 million during the fourth month of 2020, according to a statement by the Ministry of Finance on Sunday.
Moreover, value-added tax (VAT) and other charges imposed on these goods amounted to EGP 2.95 billion during the month, the statement showed.
The imported goods included wheat, legumes, corn, fabrics, wood, yarn, cars, spare parts, and mobile phone accessories.
