Cairo – Mubasher: Ain Sokhna town in the Suez governorate will witness the launch of the first vocational and training centre in the economic zone of Ain Sokhna within the coming days, Mohab Mamish, chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and its Economic Zone said.
With total investment exceeding EUR 22 million, this training centre was build in cooperation with Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and Siemens which have signed a strategic alliance agreement with the economic zone of Suez Canal to endorse occupational training in Egypt.
This centre, which has been built in 17 months, is forecast to drive employment opportunities for Egyptian youth and boost workforce localisation in line with Egypt Vision 2030.
Over 5,500 Egyptian youth will be trained in this centre during the coming few years in advanced technical skills that are critical to the Egyptian economy.
Under the milestone agreement, Siemens will join forces with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, on behalf of BMZ, to establish and operate a joint technical training centre in Ain Sokhna, according to an official press release by Siemens.
