Dubai-Mubasher: Air Arabia posted a 34% rise year-on-year in its profits for the first quarter in 2016, according to a bourse statement.
Net profits amounted to AED 114.3 million ($31.12 million) in Q1-16, compared to AED 85.34 million ($23.23 million) in Q1-15.
Revenues rose 6.8% to AED 945.76 million ($257.49 million) in the first quarter, up from AED 885.97 million ($241.21 million) in the year-ago period.
Sales and marketing expenses declined to AED 17.24 million ($4.69 million) in the first three months, compared with AED 17.33 million ($4.72 million) in the same quarter a year earlier.
