UAE – Mubasher: Ajman Free Zone (AFZ) recorded a hike in the number of e-commerce licences granted to business owners who seek to set up a digital platform to launch their products online.
During the past six months, the free zone, which is a business eco-system offering business set up, also witnessed a triple-fold increase in the issuance of freelancer licenses and a six-fold for pioneers licenses, according to a press release on Sunday.
The rise in the zone's e-commerce licences comes in line with the growing e-commerce sector in the UAE which surges with a rate of 23% every year, supported by the wide-spread use of mobile phones and the retail buying habits.
Meanwhile, the AFZ offers digitised services, including easy online business set up and e-payments, a payment instalment, and a full exemption from the e-channel fee at a value of AED 5,000 to help start-ups to launch their businesses.
