Al Aman’s Q4 losses fall 62.4%

Kuwait-Mubasher: Al Aman Investment managed to decrease its losses by 62.4% in the fourth quarter of 2015 as compared to the same period in 2014, according to a bourse filing.

The company posted losses of about KWD 178,750 ($596,310) in Q4-15, compared to nearly KWD 475,090 ($1.58 million) in Q4-14.

During the fiscal year 2015, Al Aman’s profits plunged 60.6% to KWD 1.47 million from KWD 3.73 million in FY14.

The company’s performance was boosted by several factors topped by growth of about KWD 2.3 million in Realized profit from investment.

The company said that the board will hold a meeting on Thursday to approve the financials and recommend dividends.

The company’s stock retreated 1.92% to 51 fils less than hour before Thursday’s trading session closes, after 370,260 shares were exchanged at about KWD 19,000.
