Al-Assaf to represent Saudi Arabia in G20 summit – SPA

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia will participate in the G20 summit, scheduled to begin Friday in Hamburg, Germany, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.

Minister of state, and former minister of finance, Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf will head the Saudi delegation, on behalf of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who on Monday announced that he will not attend the summit.

The Hamburg summit is the twelfth G20 meeting, and will be held on 7 and 8 July.

At the summit, G20 leaders are set to tackle a number of issues on the stability of the global economy, alongside issues relating to financial markets and development.

“The meeting will focus on three topics: ensuring stability, improving sustainability and accountability, addressing issues of politics, economics, finance, trade, employment, and achieving goals of Sustainable Development 2030,” SPA concluded.
