Kuwait-Mubasher: The Kuwaiti bourse started Sunday in the green zone, as the price index levelled up 0.13% or 7.7 points to settle at 5,733.1 points at 10:15 am Kuwait local time.
The weighted index rose 0.37% or 1.5 points to reach 392.29 points. Similarly, the Kuwait-15 index grew by 0.65% or 6.1 points to 940.08 points.
The market is witnessing a growth in liquidity and positive speculations after Saudi Telecom (STC) has submitted on Wednesday an offer to acquire additional 74% stake in VIVA, said capital market analyst Adnan Al-Delimi.
The turnover amounted to KWD 12.63 million, after 66.2 million shares were traded through 1,585 transactions.
Al Deera Holding advanced the winners by adding 7.35%, while Contracting and Marine Services led the losers with a decrease of 8.8%.
Viva was the most active stock, as 6.93 million shares were traded through 158 deals, achieving a turnover of KWD 7.2 million. The stock rose 7.22%, the second highest stock in the market.
