Cairo – Mubasher: Al Ezz Dekheila Steel – Alexandria on Tuesday posted a 316% year-on-year hike in its consolidated profits for the first nine months of 2018.
Net profit amounted to EGP 996.5 million in the nine-month period ended September, compared to EGP 239.5 billion the year-ago period, the company said in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
Sales grew to EGP 30.9 billion at the end of September, versus EGP 24.3 million in the corresponding nine-month period of 2017.
In the third quarter of 2018, the company logged profits of EGP 93.5 million, versus EGP 318.4 million in Q3-17.
Al Ezz Dekheila Steel previously reported a 62.2% year-on-year surge in standalone profits for the January-September period of this year, recording EGP 2.27 billion from EGP 1.4 billion.
