Al Hokair plans $100m investments in Egypt power projects

Cairo – Mubasher: Saudi’s Fawaz Abdulaziz Al Hokair Company plans to invest $100 million in solar power projects in Egypt, Al-Borsa newspaper reported on Thursday.

The general manager of FAS Energy, a subsidiary of Fawaz Al Hokair, Sabri Asfour, said that his company will provide 85% of the funding required for the project, and plans to take a loan for the remaining 15% from an Egyptian bank.

Last month, Egypt's minister of investment and international cooperation, Sahar Nasr, said that Al Hokair Company plans to pump new investments into the Egyptian market in the upcoming period.
