Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Al Hosn Gas, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), is considering raising of the Shah Gas Field’s production capacity by 50% by 2021, the company’s CEO Saif Al Ghafli said.
The field is continuing with its production as it handles processing of one billion cubic feet of gas per day, of which 500 million cubic feet belongs to a gas network in Abu Dhabi and the other 500 million are oil condensates.
“We target to increase our production capacity to reach 1.5 billion cubic feet of gas per day within five years,” he added.
Abu Dhabi ranks fifth worldwide in terms of natural gas reserves which exceed1985 trillion cubic feet, while its production reached 10 billion cubic feet in 2015.
