Riyadh – Mubasher: MBC Group's chairman Waleed Al-Ibrahim will continue his current responsibilities as a manager after Saudi authorities released him in the previous period, senior official in the media group said.
Saudi government arrested Al-Ibrahim after launching anti-corruption crackdown in November.
Al-Ibrahim owns a 40% stake in MBC Group.
On Saturday, Saudi authorities released Al-Ibrahim from detention.
In November 2017, MBC’s chairman and several Saudi businessmen, officials, and ministers were arrested by the government as a part of anti-corruption crackdown.
