Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Railway Company (SAR) plans to launch and operate the stations of Al-Jawf and Al-Qurayyat by the beginning of 2018, director of corporate communications told Al Eqtisadiah Newspaper.
Total value of the North Railway project amounts to SAR 20 billion, he noted, adding that total capacity stands at 1,550 passengers and 340 terminals per each station.
Both stations of Al-Jawf and Al-Qurayyat have separated arrival and departure halls, he indicated.
The 1,250-kilometre railway line extends from Riyadh to Al-Qurayyat in the north of the kingdom.
The North Railway project will be completed by operating Al-Jawf and Al-Qurayyat stations as part of the project’s third and fourth phases.
