Riyadh – Mubasher: Global technology firm SAP on Sunday announced the appointment of Mohammed Al Khotani as the new managing director of SAP Saudi Arabia in an effort towards achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Al Khotani held several leading positions at SAP Middle East and North Africa (MENA) including the head of SAP Business Networks as well as head of the industry verticals of energy and natural resources, travel and transportation, and retail and services, according to a statement.
SAP opened Saudi Arabia's first public cloud data centre, as part of its four-year SAR 285 million investment plan in the kingdom.
“Having a digital core is vital for Saudi Vision 2030’s digital transformation, facilitating real-time Smart Cities, and meeting economic diversification targets across industry verticals,” Al Khotani said.
SAP’s “public cloud data centre can enable organisations to scale up their digital transformation and integrate Big Data with artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, internet of things (IoT), and blockchain,” he added.
The kingdom is considered a major market for SAP as the global technology firm continues to implement its investment plan and transform organisations, SAP MENA’s senior vice president and managing director, Ahmed Al-Faifi, said.
