Al Maktoum Int'l Airport expansion postponed until 2018

Dubai – Mubasher: The expansion of Dubai's Al Maktoum International Airport has been delayed for a year until 2018, the airport's operator said on Wednesday.

The airport will have the capacity to handle 26 million passengers per annum when the expansion is complete.

In November 2016, Dubai's government had secured $3 billion (AED 11 billion) worth of long-term financing for the expansion of its airports, which are expected to serve 146.3 million passengers by 2025.

Emirates Airline will move to Al Maktoum International in 2025.
