Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South plan to complete the expansion of the first phase of Al Maktoum International Airport, Al Ittihad newspaper reported.
The first phase aims to raise the airport’s capacity to handle 26 million passengers per year, according to Khalifa Al Zaffin, executive chairman at Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South.
The new expansion will raise the overall capacity of Dubai’s airports to handle 126 million passengers a year.
The expansion of Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport has been delayed by a year until 2018, sources announced earlier last May.
