Dubai - Mubasher: The governor of the Central Bank of the UAE said on Sunday that it is too soon to make projections regarding the effects of the new US president’s policies on the Emirati banking sector.
Mubarak Rashed Al Mansoori also told reporters, on the sidelines of the second Arab Fiscal Forum in Dubai, that the UAE will continue to link its currency to the US Dollar.
The UAE banking sector currently has good levels of liquidity, Al Mansoori indicated, adding that the central bank is still in negotiations with the finance ministry regarding the public debt law.
