Doha – Mubasher: Al Meera Consumer Goods Company announced on Tuesday that it plans to enter the United Arab Emirates market.
The step comes after the Qatari firm completed a plan to enter the Omani market, Deputy CEO Mohammed Nasser Al Qahtani said in a press conference.
Al Meera owns five branches in the Sultanate of Oman and 42 others in Qatar.
Al Qahtani said that the company seeks to boost the volume of sales to QAR 7 billion within the next ten years from QAR 2.1 billion to seven billion riyals.
“The Qatari firm allocated about QAR 1.5 billion to expand its investments in retail field,” he added.
The Deputy CEO also said that Al Meera will launch about 14 branches worth QAR 350 million by the beginning of 2016.
