Cairo – Mubasher: Al Nouran Sugar will inaugurate the first phase of its new facility next April with EGP 3.5 billion in investment, Alborsa News reported, citing chairperson Ashraf Mahmoud.
The new factory is scheduled to start production during the season of supplying beets with a production capacity of 300,000 tonnes per the first phase, Mahmoud highlighted.
The chairperson also noted that the Egypt-based company has set an integrated scheme to double production lines and export the surplus soon.
The sugar facility is currently being built over four phases to be finalised by 2025 with a total production capacity of about 1.2 million tonnes annually, according to the newspaper.
