Riyadh - Mubasher: Al Sagr Cooperative Insurance Company has obtained the final approval from the Insurance Authority (IA) to market and sell its Health Insurance for Athletes product for both individuals and groups.
The approval was obtained on 24 May 2026 and covers the product identification number P-SAGRH2-B-26-046, according to a bourse filing.
This development allows the company to issue policies through sports clubs, federations, associations, and national teams, in addition to individual subscriptions.
Meanwhile, the product provides health insurance coverage for athletes participating in sports activities, offering protection against injuries that may result in temporary or permanent disability.
It is worth noting that in September 2025, Al Sagr Cooperative announced Rashid Suleiman Al Rasheed as the board’s Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Risk Committee until 22 November 2026.
