Cairo - Mubasher: Expansion is being undergone at Al Sokhna pumping station at a total value of EGP 730 million, President of the Petroleum Pipelines Company Emad Abdel Qader announced on Sunday.
Abdel Qader said that the expansion includes the establishment of four storage warehouses, pumping stations, and an interchange control centre for the SCADA and DS systems to manage the national pipeline network in the area, according to the press release of the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum.
This announcement was made during the visit of the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El-Molla, to the new petroleum projects in Ain Sokhna.
During his visit, the minister inspected the pipeline of Sokhna-Tebeen, which has been set up at a total value of EGP 920 million as part of the continuous expansion of the national network to transfer petroleum products.
Sokhna-Tebeen aims to directly transfer supplies from Al Sokhna area to Upper Egypt.
