AlDahra Agricultural to inject new investments in Egypt

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi-based agriculture company Al Dahra Holding will continue in pumping more investments of nearly $100 million in each of Egypt, Morocco and Australia, said Khadim Al Darei, Al Dahra Holding’s vice chairman.

“The company’s management will allocate $50 million of its new investments to Egypt, while will direct fresh money of $20 million to Morocco and Australia,” added chairman.

AlDahra’s current investments in Egypt exceeds EGP 3 billion ($170.4 million) at different major projects topped by land reclamation at Toshka and East El-Ewinat regions, noted Khadim

“The company has finished almost 60% of its projects in Egypt and expects to complete them in 2017,
 said Khadim.

The company owns forage cultivation lands, processing and baling facilities in the United States, Spain, South Africa, Egypt and Pakistan and operates a major forage sourcing, trading and distribution hub out of Italy.

The company last year signed an agreement with Jordan for the annual supply of 400,000 tonnes of wheat and 400,000 tonnes of barley, to improve the UAE’s food security.
