Dubai – Mubasher: Emaar Malls intends to expand its business in the UAE and the external markets, chairman Mohamed Alabbar said.
He added that the mother company, Emaar Properties, is currently executing two malls in Khor Dubai and Dubai Hills; the malls are expected to be that largest worldwide.
Emaar Malls is currently focusing on the e-commerce, which exists by 1% in the Arab world.
As for implementing the value-added tax (VAT), Alabbar noted that it will not impact the retail business as well as other sectors that shows a growth. He added that the VAT will be equally divided on the company and the consumer.
