Alba, NBK push Bahrain Bourse to close in green

Mubasher: The benchmark index of Bahrain Bourse ended Tuesday’s session in the green zone after two successive declining sessions.

The index gained 0.11% or 1.34 points to close at 1,220 points.

Bahrain Islamic index grew 0.70% to settle at 799.6 points as compared to 799.6 points on Monday.

Today’s turnover amounted to about BHD 366,700 ($971,800), as trading volume reached 3 million shares that were traded through 68 transactions.

Market capitalization stood at BHD 7.212 billion ($19 billion).

The industrial sector led the gainers by adding 0.46%, spurred by Alba which increased 0.55%.

The banks sector closed in green, backed by NBK which gained 2.14%, Khaleeji Commercial Bank which grew 8.9%.

Meanwhile, the services sector levelled down 0.12%, dragged by Nass Corporation which lost 4.22%.

Khaleeji Commercial Bank recorded the highest turnover of about BHD 167,700, after 2.8 million shares were traded through 41 deals.
