Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a bearish performance on Wednesday, dragged down by the decline of most sectors led by the energy.
The general index decreased 0.51% or 23 points to reach 4,448.69 points.
Trading volume reached 58.29 million shares on Wednesday, compared to 75.87 million shares on Tuesday. Turnover amounted to AED 90.95 million, compared to AED 133.02 million.
The real estate sector was the top loser after falling 1% as Aldar Properties went down 1.25%.
The banks sector also slid 0.7% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and First Gulf Bank (FGB) retreated 1.85% and 0.85% respectively.
The telecom sector decreased 0.25% after Etisalat levelled down 0.25%.
On the other hand, the energy sector rose 2.95% as Dana Gas grew 3.7%.
Eshraq Properties was the most active stock after trading 28.8 million shares through 174 transactions, with a turnover of AED 23.3 million.
