Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: Aldar Properties on Sunday announced awarding Construction Group Contracting House (CGCH) an AED 745 million contract at its The Bridges project.
The contract entails the construction of a mid-market residential development on Reem Island, consisting of six apartment towers, which in turn comprise 1,272 studios and three-bedroom apartments.
The apartments will be delivered by the first quarter of 2020, Aldar Properties revealed in a statement, noting that the project also includes various amenities such as two indoor gymnasiums and swimming pools.
"The Bridges has been extremely well received, which clearly demonstrates the demand that exists for mid-market developments in desirable locations,” said Talal Al Dhiyebi, chief development officer at Aldar.
“We are pleased to award the main contract for The Bridges to support our continued focus on quality and timely completion for our customers,” Al Dhiyebi added.
Located near a neighbourhood of canal walks, parks, a public beach, community mosques, schools and hospitals, The Bridges comprises two plots, with each housing three of the towers.
Each group of three towers is separated by a 2.4 kilometre canal, the company concluded.
Earlier this year, Aldar Properties announced selling The Bridge’s first two towers at Cityscape Abu Dhabi before selling all homes in the development’s third tower.
