Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi's Aldar Properties has awarded a contract worth AED 2 billion to Dubai's Arabtec to build 1,017 luxury villas in the United Arab Emirates capital, as part of its West Yas project, Aldar said in a statement to Abu Dhabi bourse on Monday.
The project will be completed within 24 months, Arabtec said in a statement to Dubai bourse.
Aldar CEO Talal Al Dhiyebi said his company will start cooperation with Arabtec after the project received an overwhelming response from customers.
Aldar earlier said it launched the second phase of sales on its residential project West Yas in Abu Dhabi after the first phase witnessed a robust demand.
The company sold 300 units to nationals in the first phase.
