Cairo - Mubasher: Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling said it signed an agreement with an American firm to buy six new winches at total investment cost of EGP 65 million.
The agreement entitles the American firm to supply Alexandria Container with the new winches through 10 months.
The new winches aim to boost the company's operations at Alexandria port and El Dekheila port.
Alexandria Container saw net profits of EGP 475.9 million within the first five months of the fiscal year 2015/16, compared with EGP 312.58 million a year earlier with an increase of 52%.
