Alexandria Medical Center uses EGP 10.21m of rights issue proceeds

Cairo - Mubasher: Alexandria New Medical Center said Monday it used EGP 10.21 million of the proceeds raised from its recent capital increase.

The company used an amount of EGP 9.84 million to develop its cardiac intensive care unit (CICU), which represents 82.07% of the EGP 11.99 million allocated for such a purpose.

Meanwhile, the remaining EGP 367, 900 went for developing the company’s oncology unit, which represents 2.94% of the EGP 12.5 million allocated for such a purpose.

Last October, the medical firm secured the approval of the listing committee of the Egyptian Exchange to raise its capital from EGP 24.2 million to EGP 48.4 million, up EGP 24.2 million distributed across 2.42 million shares at EGP 10 par value each.
