Alexandria Pharmaceuticals posts 9% profit drop in 11M

Cairo – Mubasher: Alexandria Pharmaceuticals and Chemical Industries reported an 8.9% year-on-year profit decline during the first 11 months of fiscal year 2018/2019. 

Net profits stood at EGP 147.59 million from July 2018 to last May, compared to EGP 162.05 million in the year-ago period, the company said in a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Sunday. 

Year-on-year, revenues levelled up to EGP 792.59 million in the 11-month period ended 31 May from EGP 699.05 million.

On the other hand, costs of activities rose to EGP 581.75 million during the July-May period of FY18/19, compared to EGP 474.11 million in the same period of FY17/18.

During the first ten months of FY18/19, the company’s net profits fell to EGP 112.607 million, compared to EGP 121.625 million in the year-ago period.
