Doha – Qatar: Qatar’s Investors Group Holding Company announced on Wednesday that its subsidiary Alkhalij Cement Company started the trial operation of its new production lines as part of its QAR 800 million expansion project.
Alkhalij Cement added a new clinker production line and an additional cement mill, which doubles the clinker production from 6,000 tons to 12,000 tons per day, as well as increasing the production capacity of cement grinding from 9,500 tons to 15,500 tons per day, according to a statement by the company.
The company earlier posted a net profit of QAR 186 million in the first nine months of 2015, versus QAR 173.9 million in the same period last year.
