Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Thursday on a negative note, as it all sectors weighed on the benchmark to nosedive 2.34% or 221.26 points to the level of 9,185.12 points.
Al Rayan Islamic Index declined 3.43% to 3,338.13 points, and the All Shares Index dipped 2.41% to 2,448.78 points.
Trading volume came to 8.99 million shares worth QAR 388.51 million through 4,859 trades, compared to 5.59 million shares exchanged yesterday through 3,223 transactions worth QAR 212.78 million.
Services was the worst performing sector after dropping 4.76%, followed by a 3.08% fall in telecom. The banking sector came least in the red list as it went 1.68% down.
Four shares, out of 40, closed in green, while the other 36 closed down.
Islamic Holding was the weakest share as it sagged 9.88%, whereas Mannai was the top gainer by adding 2.34%.
Gulf International and Qatar National Bank was the most active in terms of trading value and vlume after 1.16 million shares were exchanged at QAR 100 million.
The main index ended yesterday 0.76% or 71.71 points down to 9,405.38 points.
