Riyadh – Mubasher: International companies such as Facebook and Amazon have asked to start investing in Saudi Arabia’s cloud computing sector, according to Abdulaziz AlRwais, the governor of the Saudi Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC).
Other global companies are looking to do the same, the top official told Aleqtisadia newspaper.
The CITC is developing the regulations, which are based on users’ security and privacy, in a bid to protect competition in the Saudi market, AlRwais added on the sidelines of Saudi International Exhibition for Internet of Things (IoT).
