Mubasher: American Express Middle East will introduce of Contactless Payment technology across cards issued starting from July 2019 onwards.
The new technology aims at offering the latest in convenience for all its Cardmembers, according to American Express’ statement on Monday.
The company noted that the new payment technology will be rolled out across all Middle East and North Africa (MENA) markets.
“The introduction of Contactless Card Payment is just another example of how American Express Middle East is providing its powerful backing to our Cardmembers, using innovation and technology to provide the best possible service,” Hamad Hassani, Head of Consumer Cards for American Express Middle East, said.
He added that the new technology will make the process of purchasing goods and paying for services that much easier, and of course quicker.
Cardmembers will simply be able to touch their American Express Middle East card on the payment terminal and complete their transaction with a simple tap, pay and go.
“Cardmembers will get to enjoy the same benefits, rewards and security they are used too. For all purchases, both big and small, Cardmembers can continue to shop confidently on-the-go and faster than ever with American Express,” the statement highlighted.
